Everything We Know About Star Wars: Skeleton Crew



The galaxy far, far away is expanding again as Disney+ gears up for the release of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Originally slated for December 3, the premiere date has been moved up to December 2, 2024, with a double-episode debut. Following that, new episodes will drop weekly every Tuesday at 6:00 PM PST, offering fans a steady dose of this exciting new series.


An All-Star Lineup of Directors

The show boasts an impressive roster of directors, each bringing their unique flair to the Star Wars universe. The creative team includes:

  • Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home)

  • David Lowery (The Green Knight)

  • Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (Academy Award winners for Everything Everywhere All At Once)

The Story: A Galactic Adventure

Set during the New Republic era, Skeleton Crew focuses on a group of four kids who stumble upon a mysterious discovery that launches them into the unknown reaches of the galaxy. With Jude Law starring as Jod Na Nawood, a mentor figure guiding the children on their perilous journey home, the series explores themes of adventure, survival, and connection within the vastness of space.


A New Look: Poster Reveal

Alongside the trailer and updated premiere information, Disney+ has dropped a stunning new poster for the series. The poster teases the show’s tone, blending a sense of wonder with the mystery and danger that have become hallmarks of Star Wars storytelling.
